Year 2 have been learning how to use a template to create a simple patchwork by repurposing clothing to create something practical and useful.  They have explored the history of quilt making. They have worked hard to cut out shapes which have been created by using a template.
 

Year 2 had a fantastic time today taking part in a Multi-Skills Festival in Whitehaven. They enjoyed lots of different activities, being active and having fun.

Year 2 spent World Ocean Day learning about its importance and the role they can play in protecting the World’s oceans. Each child created their own mini ocean landscape from paper and had great fun filling it with their favourite ocean creatures and plants.
