Year 2

Year 2 are learning how to measure lengths and heights in centimetres and metres. Today they spent some time outdoors and in class measuring different lengths and heights to see if they were longer or shorter than a metre. They had great fun and were even surprised by some of their findings.

As part of the centenary celebrations often Lancaster Diocese, a statue of Our Lady of Lourdes visited school. Year 2 spent time with the statue to pray and adore her. Year 2 won the attendance race last half term. Today they finally received their treat for winning. They chose to have ice lollies followed by a games and puzzles hour. They thoroughly enjoyed spending time with their friends, socialising and learning new games.
