Diabetes Week 2025 with Year 2

Year 2 have marked Diabetes Week this week by coming to school dressed in blue. They talked about what diabetes is and how the money they have raised can go to fund research to help those who live with the condition. Many of the children enjoyed trying on the diabetes crazy hair and looking at Miss McKendrey’s medal that she got for recently completing the Diabetes UK Swim 22 challenge in aid of the charity. All the Year 2 children stayed after school one night for a movie night where they enjoyed chilling out with their friends while watching movies as well as eating popcorn and hotdogs. They raised £122 from dressing in blue and the movie night.
