Year 5 have been learning about reduction printing. First, they carved a pattern into a polystyrene tile. Then they printed with it. After that, they carved more of the pattern away and printed again. This process is called reduction printing because the tile gets smaller each time.
Their patterns were inspired by nature, such as leaves, flowers and other natural shapes. The children worked carefully and planned their designs well. The finished prints look bold and creative, and everyone did a great job.
