We were delighted to welcome Blood Bikes Cumbria to school this week, where they spent time with our Year 2 children sharing the incredible work they do in the community. Alan and Louise explained how they volunteer their time to transport essential medical supplies, such as blood, samples, and medication, between hospitals.
One of the highlights of the visit was seeing the blood bike up close. The children loved exploring the motorbike and learning about the special equipment it carries. There was lots of excitement as each child had the opportunity to sit on the motorbike, imagining what it might be like to be a real Blood Bike rider! We would like to say a big thank you to Blood Bikes Cumbria for giving their time and inspiring our pupils to fundraise for them as their class charity.
