Today, Year 4 enjoyed an exciting ukulele taster session! The children took part in fun games linked to tempo and rhythm, using clapping activities to explore timing and speed in music. They also learned about the different parts of the ukulele, how to hold the instrument correctly, and practised simple plucking and strumming techniques for the first time. It was wonderful to see the children’s enthusiasm and confidence grow throughout the session, and the experience has created lots of excitement ahead of learning the ukulele properly in Year 5.
