Year 3 looked great in their spooky costumes. They enjoyed a Halloween movie, colouring and drawing as a treat for all of their hard work. Well done Year 3, have a restful week off!
 

Year 3 enjoyed a lovely autumn walk to spot the human and physical features of Egremont. They jotted them down and picked up litter as they went. We wanted to follow in St. Francis’ footsteps and look after God’s Creation. They did a great job.

Year 3 had a fantastic day learning all about the mysteries of the Rosary and how to pray it. They learnt about the significance of the miraculous medal as a sign of protection and safeguarding to those who wear it. They made a medal and a plaque for themselves. 
 

Year 3 had great fun learning how to fire a bow and arrow today. They were great shots and had fun adding up their scores on their target.

Year 3 have been practicing their painting techniques and learning about how Vincent Van Gogh used impasto paint, line and blue shades to create “A Starry Night”.

They used flour to thicken their paint and then painted in the style of Van Gogh. 

Year 3 were spotting human and physical features on the huge OS maps. They looked at the key to learn many new map symbols. They found lots of local areas and pointed to them using co-ordinates.

Year 3 learnt all about how to use a democratic election to select this year’s School Council. They read or listened to candidate’s manifestos (which were excellent) and voted for their class voices. Congratulations to Albie and Autumn who were elected as Year 3…

Year 3 were writing codes for their mice to help them to locate the cheese. They did it really well, giving code directions and then created their own routes and commands to their own maze. Well done Year 3.

Year 3 developed long and short passing in their netball lesson on Thursday.

Year 3 have been studying the Jewish religion, in particular the festival of Pesach. During RE they learnt about the beliefs and traditions that are followed in Judaism. Basil, a practicing Jew, came in to talk to the children about his religion and shared some Jewish objects with the children to…

Year 3 have really enjoyed their end of Year trip, despite the rain. 
 

Year 3 enjoyed playing football and having fun with Owen, the coach, whilst being bananas in a game of tag.
