In R.E. Year 1 have been learning about peoples lives in the parish community. Year 1 invited Mrs O’Neil to come in to chat about her role within the parish. The class prepared some questions ahead of her visit. During the visit Mrs O’Neil shared why she enjoys contributing to the parish. She invited the children to visit St. Mary’s church so they could see where she sings with the church choir on Sundays. Mrs O’Neil talked about how the Parish community also try to raise money to help people in need throughout the world. Year 1 loved finding out more about life in the parish and how good it can feel to help others. Everyone enjoyed singing a song from the choir loft and Mrs O’Neil talked about how singing hymns is another way to worship. Thank you Mrs O’Neil for visiting Year 1, they had a wonderful time and are keen to sign up for the choir.
