As part of their history work on the Great Fire of London, Year 2 visited Whitehaven Fire Station. They amazed the fire fighters with their knowledge of the Great Fire learned some more facts they did not know. The children were treated to a tour of the fire engine before being allowed to go inside the appliance as well as using the hose to spray water. What a wonderful experience was had by all with some children coming away saying they woefully like to be a fire fighter when they grow up!
