Year 6 have been putting their scientific skills to the test as they brought their topic on electricity to an exciting end!
The children devised their own investigations to test a hypothesis, carefully changing one variable in their circuits to observe the effect. They explored questions such as whether adding more wires would make a bulb glow brighter or whether adding more cells would increase its brightness.
Throughout their investigations, the children used a fantastic range of scientific vocabulary, made predictions, observed changes and recorded their findings. They thoroughly enjoyed testing their theories, discovering whether their hypotheses were correct and reporting their conclusions.
We were so impressed with their curiosity, teamwork and scientific thinking. What a brilliant way to round off our learning about electricity!
