Year 6 have been using linking cubes to explore how square and cube numbers are made. They applied their knowledge of multiplication facts and used mathematical vocabulary to investigate different ways of building and representing squared and cubed numbers.
The practical activity helped them to visualise the relationships between numbers and deepen their understanding of square and cube numbers.
