This week in Nursery we have been identifying and sorting shapes. We have been focusing on squares, triangles and circles. 

We have also learnt that some shapes have straight sides like a square and a triangle and other shapes are round like a circle. 
 

Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the theatre to enjoy a diverse story about an Indian girl who loved to tell stories and the hardships that she faced. 
we had ice-cream, lunch, dancing and cheering. A wonderful day out!
 

It was disco time in Reception and the children had a great time dancing, playing games and having a few snacks. They danced their socks off! 
 

In Reception we have been learning to move using our feelings. How would you move if you were happy, excited, sad or angry? We then played some different types of music and the children moved using scarves to enhance their movements. There were high and low movements and fast and slow movements.…

Year 5 had a great time with their friends at our annual ‘Friendship Disco’ as part of ‘Anti-Bullying Week.’ They enjoyed dancing to their favourite songs and then chilling out chatting with each other enjoying some refreshments. 
 

Some of our Y6 boys attended a football tournament at Whitehaven Academy. They returned u beaten and didn’t concede any goals at all. Amazing team work and effort!

What a wonderful time everyone had at the Friendship Disco! Lots of dancing and fun with friends. 

Year 2 children came to school in non-uniform today ready for the Friendship Disco after school. They had a thoroughly enjoyable time dancing, playing musical statues and sharing a snack and a drink. Everyone went home happy and smiling.

We all had a great time at our Friendship Disco to celebrate anti-bullying week. It was lovely to see everyone having so much fun together!

Some of our Year 2 children represented us at a Panathlon competition. The children took part in many activities using their throwing and catching skills to aim at a target. They showed great perseverance and sportsmanship.

Congratulations to the Y5 children who took part in a Panathlon today coming in 2nd place. They enjoyed playing a selection of throwing, catching and target games. They all showed excellent Sportsmanship skills and were a credit to our school.

How exciting! We are very lucky to have Cumbria Moto Park on our doorstep, the country's first indoor motocross track (Motocross or MX is a dirt-bike racing sport which takes place on an enclosed off-road circuit). This looks like lots of fun. Some of our children have been making the most of…
