Year 5 Swimming Week October 2026
Year 5 have spent the week visiting Copeland Pool for swimming lessons. All of the children grew in confidence and stamina, while improving their swimming skills. Lots of fun was had by all. Congratulations to Eliza, Oliver and Callan who were awarded swimmers of the week.
Running Club
In our after-school running club today, the focus was on footwork, core strength, and coordination.
We used agility ladders to help us practise these skills and quickly realised it was harder than it looked! With practice, we all improved our coordination and speed as the session went on.

Awesome Archers in Year 3
Year 3 had great fun learning how to fire a bow and arrow today. They were great shots and had fun adding up their scores on their target.
Archery in Year 5
Year 5 had a great time in their archery session today!
They learnt how to handle a bow safely and aim accurately. Everyone enjoyed aiming at the target board, trying to score as high as they could. Although they all found it tricky at first, they improved their skills throughout the session.
Amazing Archers in Year 1
Year 1 loved learning Archery. They listened carefully about how to be safe using the equipment. It was tricky at first learning how to load the arrow but once they persevered they were away with it. They received excellent instruction and had a fantastic experience.
