Year 3 create St. Bridget’s Day Prayer Cards for the Community
Year 3 prepared some beautiful St. Bridget’s day prayer cards to distribute to the community. After celebrating Mass for St. Bridget’s Day, Year 3 walked up the street to the doctors surgery, Marion’s and Cohen’s Chemist, leaving a thoughtful message in each card.
Sharing a story with a teddy in Nursery
In Nursery, the children have been bringing a teddy in from home to share a story with in class. We then had some quieter time to share our stories in groups. The children have really enjoyed bringing their teddies to join in with the fun!

Reception have been busy this week making a St Bridget’s flower to display at the back of the church in celebration of St Bridget’s feast day Mass. Today, we took our flowers to the church, ready for the Mass on Monday.

This half term, Nursery are reading stories by Julia Donaldson. They have enjoyed sharing her stories and creating crafts. This week they made masks like the Highway Rat wore, using collage materials.
Fine and gross motor skills in Nursery
Our Nursery children have been practising their fine motor skills by cutting spaghetti and jelly cubes with scissors. Outside, they have been making obstacle courses and using bats and balls. Lots of opportunities to develop their skills and build on their teamwork with others.
Gymnastics
This week in Reception gymnastics, the children have been using a range of equipment to practise their jumping and balancing skills. They have been working on moving with control, developing their coordination, and building confidence as they explore different ways to travel and hold balances.
